Psn when is the next update

This had been a security measure that, when failed on both sides, prevented any PS4 software, digital or physical, from playing at all. The problem is the PS4's CMOS battery, which fits into the hardware's motherboard and is used to internally track the date and time, even when there's no power. If that battery is removed for replacement or just dies, the system can't properly track the real-world calendar. This forces the PS4 to reconnect to PSN to establish the correct time—a routine check that happens every time you try to play a digital or physical game.

So what would happen, pre-update, if you had a dead-battery PS4 that isn't connected to the Internet? That time check with PSN couldn't be completed, meaning any games wouldn't play.

To do so, he attempted to start a digital copy of 's God of War after removing the CMOS from a base PS4 that was running older firmware and was disconnected from the Internet, which failed. Next, he updated the console to the 9. Other updates have improved some of the rest mode crashes, but they are definitely still there for many people.

Seems to only happen when suspending PS5 games at this point. We will be tracking the progress of the rest mode bug with this thread on reddit. I have some initial data. Had one or two crashes the first month. Nothing since. You might want to get your system checked out. I still encounter the rest mode bug. No word from Sony on that. This is unacceptable! So 3 yrs ago you removed mobile data from the remote play app which caused me to go from using it to make it unusable for me.

Nice to see mobile data use back. How about friends activity feed and folders?! How hard can it be?! A proper media player, please, with all the codexes that the PS3 had; the PS4 was a big step backwards with this.

They should just let us fully customize the UI, or at least give us a few different options on how we want it to look. At the very least, just let us increase the size of game icons. Any word on when we can play PS games on our dollar systems? Like, the ones we already purchased on PSN? Probably an Ultra low priority. Everyone has phones, pcs, tablets, etc. Even other game consoles. So the answer is probably no or not for a couple of years. The browsers tend to be an exploit point for a lot of console hacks.

Including playstation products. KazeEternal The PS4 browser is a godsend when looking up collectible items in a game while playing.

The PS4 browser is a commonly used asset for legitimate use. I second this. Dolby audio delay is a serious issue on the PS5. And since Sony decided to omit my optical audio out… now you need to fix the problem.

The expansion slot can hold larger heatsinks models like the XPG 2tb model. It does fit in the slot it is just a little taller. Make sure you buy a heatsink or else it will overheat the drive.

If Sony would combine the drive and make it seamless. Then you will not have that problem. Thank you so m…wait, not? One of the most relevant updates. The 3-bar info is not very helpful. Glad to see these improvements. Keep going Sony. Would like to see the following simply improvements in the next update please….

I always come across an old game and want to play it but I have to back all the way out and go find it in the library! And really anywhere I am looking at something related to a game would be nice to simply have a quick launch button from there. Viewing trophies and come across one that I want to get? Have a launch game function right there… 3. Optional vertical trophy lists please! Multi game resume would be real nice to have. Even if limited to a few games which is more realistic.

Thanks for the much needed software update! I hate going in the library to find games I have not played in a while because they only get sorted by most recently played in the main menu.

Also, like everyone is asking, VRR would make me very happy as I am purchasing a new TV with this feature specifically for my PS5 so I am impatiently waiting for this feature. Really happy about the use of mobile networks for PSNow. I never get one. I give them but only have like one. In any case it seems it needs more prominence to be worthwhile.

Will the 3D Pulse support an amplifier with 5. Also, I would like for both PS5 and PS4 to have a native option to select which language I want the game to be played with, as it is I have to change the console language to reflect the language I want. This is very much needed! Please, Sony! Let us choose the preferred game language regardless of the system language.

Glad to see PS App allowing remote play over mobile data, now can you let us use controllers like the Razr Kishi or The Backbone with it?

October Sony's latest PS5 firmware update boosts system performance. That's because it can boost system performance, which is set to make getting into game that bit faster and navigating the console's UI a little slicker, not that it was sluggish to begin with.

Bigger updates are likely to arrive later on down the line, but it's still nice to see Sony work on optimizations. Sony has released a system update that now lets those lucky enough to have a PS5 make use of the previously dormant expansion slot inside the console, allowing for the overall SDD capacity to be upgraded. While this expansion slot was enabled in a PS5 system beta, it wasn't available to all; now it is.

As such, if you're handy with a screwdriver you can add an extra PCle 4. Just bear in mind it needs to meet the specific requirements and the SSD has to have a heatsink , but otherwise the upgrade is fairly straight forward. Sony has released an update for Horizon Zero Dawn that will enable the game to run at 60 frames per second while at maximum graphics. While Horizon Zero Dawn could run on the PS5 via PS4 backwards compatibility, it only had access to the PS4 Pro 's graphics or performance settings; the former prioritized resolution over the latter, which favoured smoother performance.

But this new patch des away with that, and enables and simply runs the game at its max console settings at 60 fps. It's not a massive upgrade, though went combined wish the snapper loading speeds the PS5's SSD enables, the whole experience of playing Horizon Zero Dawn for the first time on the PS5 should be a lot nicer than it was.

And that should make the wait for Horizon Forbidden West , with it coming February , a little less painful. Following on form the new PS5 beta update, as detailed below, adding in a secondary SSD can not only increase the storage space on Sony's latest games console but also deliver improved loading times.

So going to the trouble of seeking out the best PS5 hard drive deals could yield solid benefits to your PS5 experience. A new PS5 beta will let owners upgrade the internal SSD storage of Sony's console, finally making use of the expansion slot the console came with but wasn't enabled for upgrades.

There is a catch in that you'll need the beta and ensure the SSD you get meets some rigorous requirements outlined by Sony. But we've got a handy how to upgrade PS5 internal storage guide to direct you on the in and outs of the DIY approach to PS5 storage upgrading. While you can store PS5 games on external hard drives, you can't run them from such storage, so an internal upgrade can solve this problem.
